More Than Racing — A Journey of Strength and Growth

Welcome to OLR47

Meet Chris, a 26-year-old athlete who competes in ATV Motocross and Special Olympics snowboarding. Chris is on the autism spectrum and has an intellectual disability, and he is the first autistic athlete to win an AMA National ATV Motocross Championship.

Through dedication, perseverance, and hard work—along with his faith—Chris has made significant strides both on and off the track. His journey has been supported by his family, educational programs, medical professionals, therapists, and parents who encouraged an open-minded approach as he explored new opportunities and ultimately discovered his true passion: racing.

ATV racing has had a profound impact on Chris’s life, providing not only a competitive outlet but also powerful therapeutic benefits that have helped him build confidence, overcome fears, and continue to grow as both an athlete and an individual.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
